We decided that since we work with wood, a beautiful addition to our collection would be a wooden Pinocchio. We have now added Geppetto his creator and a wonderful character piece to this series.
Geppetto stands 24” tall with an all-wood body construction. His head, hands and shoes are carved from Western maple and his body is made from basswood. He has 13 moveable joints that can be positioned in a variety of ways. His shoes are stained to give them a rustic look. His hair is stained white and light washes of paint were used on his face to allow the beauty of the wood to show through. Geppetto wears a cream linen shirt, black wool pants, a jacquard cummerbund and a beautiful leather apron. He comes with a small wooden toolbox. Geppetto's music box plays "The Nutcracker Suite".
