Alice's
Adventure in Wonderland - Naturally the heart queen had to join my Alice and
her fantastic wonderland figures. This character, which plays a very
important role in the fairytale, was once more a great challenge. She has
a strong personality with a stern expression, but should also have a very little
bit of a ridiculous and funny tone beside her strictness. I wanted her
facial expression to be stern and screaming, but it should not at any rate be
bad.
Heart Queen
I have dressed her in pure silk and have used geometric elements.
The hearts have been painted on silk by hand. The geometric elements of
her skirt and collar should remind of figures on playing cards. I used
antique golden laces from my stock. The best was just good enough for my
Heart Queen. As all my other dolls she is wearing a precious human hair
wig and her dark brown eyes are of mouth blown crystal glass. Her charming
underwear is also trimmed with antique lace and ribbons. Her legs and
shoes are of porcelain, painted to match the whole doll. Her body has
joints in its neck and arms and, thanks to a flexible skeleton inside, it can be
placed in various positions. The movable limbs in her elbows and knees
will help you to decorate this wonderful doll perfectly.
