Secrets: The arrival of the stork suggests the existence of some mysterious and miraculous delivery service: a couple of wing flaps and “Oh look - a baby!” If only the everyday epic were really like this avian scene of grace and calm. Looking around this touching arrival you will find numerous related objects: the spring green cloth indicates the freshness and hopefulness of new life, and the box of cigars inside Version 1 are traditional announcements of the new arrival. The teddy bear and soft blanket in the Version Infinity interior are of course necessities when welcoming Baby home. "Ta Patty" refers to collector Patti Warren, the "Merry Midwife," who first suggested the idea of a stork box figurine. Not part of the Treasure Jest Series. "Special Delivery" was carved by David Lawrence and not produced in England's Wimberley Mills. |
