My name is Barbara and I would like
to introduce a very special friend of mine to you: the bear-girl Loulou.
Today we will go to the children's party in the village. Loulou has
adorned herself with a velvet flower and is wearinga nice dance tutu and if we
turn around very fast, my silken dress is shining in the sun. Look!
Barbara is of finest bisque porcelain. Her wig is hand-knotted of human hair,
just as her eyelashes are. Her dress of pure silk taffeta, with a
hand-embroidered petit point, is sewn in Ruth Treffeisen's studio. Her
eyes of topaz-colored glass are hand-made by the best glassblowers in Germany.
Her body is stuffed with sheep’s wool and in order to be able to decorate the
doll in various positions, there is a flexible skeleton inside. The hat of
finest sisal is exclusively made for Barbara on a block. Genuine leather
shoes and hand knitted silken socks complete her beautiful appearance.

Loulou is of finest brown goat's mohair. Her nose has been hand-embroidered with two colors. Her tutu is made of pure silk organza. Two complex connecting joints in the neck, legs as well as a flexible skeleton make it possible to place her in expressive positions. Her black eyes are of glass, hand-made by the best glassblowers.
