Samantha's Collectible Dolls, Bears & Gifts Presents:

Robert Tonner - New York City Ballet 2007

In celebration of its sponsorship of the 2006 Nutcracker Family Benefit supporting New York City Ballet and its official school, the School of American Ballet, Tonner Dolls is proud to present Robert Tonner's first collaboration with New York City Ballet to bring you exquisite ballerina dolls of exception design and articulated movement. Designs in this collection are based upon and inspired by the original costumes of New York City Ballet's production of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker™, designed by Karinska.

The NYCB dolls are app. 16" tall with multiple articulated joints, including bending wrists.  Dolls are sculpted with stationary 'en pointe' feet (one style is made with standard high heel arched fashion feet) and they feature a smaller bustline than traditional Tyler-style 16" fashion dolls.  Please note that not all Tyler-style 16" outfits will fit the Ballet-style doll at the bustline.  This bustline is also used in the Geisha dolls and Cinderella's Wicked Stepsister, Euphemia.  The 'Emilie' head sculpt is used on all 16" dolls in the debut NYCB collection; it is not the same as the Cinderella 'Euphemia' head sculpt (also a new sculpt).
